1. It is 6 pm on September 21, and you are in Ogden, UT (latitude=41^o). You observe the Moon directly overhead. What phase is it in? (Hint: Think about the phases of the moon lab for this one...)
2. Suppose that the Earth orbits the Sun at half its current speed. What is the length of the sidereal day? Of the solar day?
3. Explain the phrase 'dark side of the Moon'. (That is, is the 'dark side' really dark? If not, where does this phrase come from?)
4. What Right Ascension is directly overhead at 6 pm on the summer solstice?
