Objectives:
- Students will use a variety of resources to answer questions about a planet.
Grade Level
2-3
Materials
- "Information about the Planets" sheet for each student team
- Books, magazines, encyclopedia, dictionaries, or resources on the solar system
- Internet access
Set-Up
Adjust the sheet for reading level and sophistication of class
Preview using different resources with students
Split class into working teams (2-3 per team)
Procedure
Hand out "Information about the Planets" sheet and let the teams work together to find the answer. Station an adult at the Internet computer to help teams there. This Website

has been specially designed to aid in the answering of this sheet.
Hint - (K and 1 grades) Complete the sheet as a class using student's knowledge from the planetarium programs, and website projected onto screen.
Follow Up
Teams can share their favorite answers to the sheet with the class or in small groups.
