The Flowchart of Stellar Evolution

Question 1

1. What happens to this object?

The collapsing cloud is not massive enough to generate the core temperature necessary for nuclear fusion, so the object does not become a star. Instead, it collapses to become a planet, which will be quite warm intially and will spend the rest of its lifetime cooling down.
