Society of Physics Students
The Physics Department maintains an active chapter of the Society of Physics
Students (SPS), sponsored by the American
Institute of Physics. SPS is an excellent opportunity for students to get together to
discuss their interests in physics and astronomy, and to form close friendships. Recent
activities of our local chapter have included:
- attending, sponsoring, and leading seminars related to topics in physics and astronomy.
- taking tours of local industries that employ physics majors.
- serving as study groups.
