The 2002 Star Party schedule has been set. Watch the club web site and the Star Diagonal for that schedule.

Concern was expressed about attending the February meeting during the Winter Olympic Games. John assured members that there will not be a conflict.

The ALCON event which is being organized by the Salt Lake society and the Astronomical League is scheduled for August. Sponsors are being sought.

The Guy Ottewell Astronomical Calendar is available through Wayne Sumner.

The evening's program was introduced. Cliff Peterson has supplied a film about Stewart Observatory's Mirror Lab and the making of large, honeycombed mirrors.

Following the film, Gary Liptrot exhibited and described electronic Anderson Connectors which are very adaptable to any electrical project. Gary has information on how to acquire the connectors.

Interest was expressed for another order for "blue" club shirts and caps. Members will be notified when the order is available.

Jeremy Mathews displayed a beautiful, hand guided film photograph of M42 that he took recently. The weather was extremely cold and he guided for nearly one hour.
