Welcome to the Physics 2220 web page---your source for all things 2220-related! This course is held in Lind Lecture Hall, room 121 (LL121), from 9-9:50, M-F.

The first thing you should check out is the syllabus, which has all kinds of spiffy information about what is due when. To summarize: homework is always due on Wednesday, every Wednesday. Exams are always on Friday. The final takes place on Tuesday, April 29th at 9:30 am. See the syllabus for further details.

Hints for chapter 21:
#53: The second vibrational mode means the second possible one. Because the tube is open-closed, m can be 1, 3, 5, 7... the second vibrational mode means that m is 3.
#59: use the equation 21.27 Delta-Phi here is the total change in phase, so includes BOTH the path length part (for which you are solving) and the intrinsic phase difference.
Other common mistakes I'm seeing: Don't forget that you need to be working in SI. Make sure that you know what the letters are. A, and a are both amplitudes, and so they should have units of length. f should have units of Hz, mu should have units of kg/m, in order for it all to come out right.
