In the computer labs on campus, Acrobat can be quickly installed with the
following steps.
-
First, click on the windows "START" button, and then on the
icon/folder labeled "Utilities." This should pop-up an
option/icon for "Acrobat." Select this.
-
The Acrobat program should install on the machine automatically if it
isn't there already. The computer might make a beep or suggest an error,
but just click "Ok". Acrobat should open. You can leave
it open or close it.
-
Now, when you surf the web and click on an Acrobat file, it should
open automatically in the web browser. You shouldn't have to install
Acrobat again on that particular computer. The computers in the
science lab are new and very fast (compared to my office machine), and I
found that the solutions would load virtually instantaneously.
-
From
your home computer, download
Acrobat Reader for free here. Follow the instructions and
prompts. You don't need to add any of the additional features that you
might be offered.
-
| You are always welcome to contact me
for help and/or alternative formats. If the Acrobat version of
solutions causes too many problems, I will start posting them in other
formats. The advantage of the Acrobat documents is that they separate
nicely into normal sized pages and can be printed appropriately.
