Dr. Farhang Amiri has been a member of the Physics Department at the Weber State University since 1984. His area of specialty is in Elementary Particle Physics. His research interests include electron-positron annihilation processes and neutrino physics.
Dr. Bradley Carroll joined the Physics Department at the Weber State University in 1985. His area of specialty is in Astrophysics. Dr. Carroll's research interests include the structure and non-radial pulsation of upper main-sequence stars, white dwarfs, and neutron stars.

Both authors have received grants for developing computer animations and simulations used in undergraduate physics courses. In the past three years they have been involved in developing computer animations for a conceptual physics course using the Macromedia Director program.
