Topics Covered: The nature of science and astronomy.  Fundamental principles of physics as they apply to the universe.  Specific topics include the history of astronomy, the solar system, the sun, evolution of stars, galaxies, the history and structure of the universe.

 Skills Emphasized: Observing the night sky.  Analytical thinking.  General problem solving.
